Train with purpose and resolve!
Walk into most fitness classes and you’ll probably hear:
“How many calories did you burn?”
“How much weight did you lift?”
“How fast did you finish?”
At First & Last Resort, we ask a different question.
What are you training for?
We believe fitness should prepare you for real life.
The strength to carry an injured loved one.
The endurance to perform CPR until first responders arrive.
The confidence to remain calm in an emergency.
The awareness to recognize danger before it becomes a crisis.
Every month, our community trains around a different real-world preparedness theme or mission. Each workout is designed to improve your strength, endurance, mobility, and resilience while introducing practical skills that could one day make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
A Year of Preparedness
January Misson — Stop the Bleed & Emergency Trauma Response
February Mission — CPR & Cardiac Emergencies
March Mission — Opioid Overdose Awareness & Narcan
April Mission — Missing Child Response & Family Safety
May Mission — House Fire Preparedness & Safe Evacuation
June MIssion — Vehicle Accident Response
July Mission — Severe Weather & Emergency Readiness
August Mission — Situational Awareness & Safe Escape
September Mission — Outdoor Survival & Lost Hiker Response
October Mission — Helping an Injured or Elderly Loved One
November Mission — Home & Family Emergency Planning
December Mission — Putting It All Together: The Preparedness Challenge
Throughout the year you’ll build more than physical fitness:
You’ll develop confidence.
You’ll gain practical knowledge.
You’ll learn skills that can help you protect yourself, assist others, and respond effectively when life doesn’t go according to plan.
Some months may include guest instructors, demonstrations, community partners, or opportunities to earn nationally recognized certifications such as CPR, Stop the Bleed, First Aid, and other preparedness credentials.
Every class is another step along your personal journey toward becoming healthier, stronger, calmer, and more capable. Because fitness should prepare you for more than the gym. It should prepare you for life.
Become an asset, not a liability.
Join us as we train for the day we all hope never comes
and build the confidence to face whatever tomorrow brings.
